APPOINTMENT

Knowing when your elderly pet is in pain or suffering and when the time is right for their peaceful euthanasia is hard, especially if you don’t know what to assess. We support families through the end of life stages by providing in-home palliative care, acupuncture and euthanasia services so families can be less fearful of what is happening, more confident in making end-of-life decisions and ultimately provide their beloved pet with the final gentle goodbye they deserve.

With so much conflicting and confusing information available online we have pooled together our most trusted resources. We have done the searching so you don’t have to.

Disease Information
When you are in search of information regarding common senior pet disease it can be hard to know what sources are reliable. With time we will write our own handouts regarding common senior pet diseases however we don’t want you to be without a resource prior to that point.
Mobility Aids
As you pet ages their mobility often declines. This is generally more obvious in dogs than in cats as dogs might limp or struggle when they walk whereas cats will simply sleep more and move less to avoid the pain.
Quality of Life and Pain Scales
We utilise both quality of life and pain scales to help assess how your pet is coping with their condition, if treatment is working or not working and as a guide to help us know when the time is right for their peaceful euthanasia.
Memorialise Your Pet
There are many ways to memorialise your pet and honour their memory. We have compiled a list of ideas which may help you start the process of memorialising your pet.
Pet Loss Support
The loss of a pet can be heartbreaking. Sometimes we need help in the time leading up to and after their death. If you are feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, please reach out for help.
