Microchipping

APPOINTMENT
Microchipping your pet will help to reunite you with them if they go missing. It is required by law that your pet is microchipped by the time they are 6 months old.

A microchip is a RFID device (Radio Frequency Identification Device) made up of a small chip the size of a grain of rice which contains a 15 digit number. The 15 digit number is unique to your pet and links to your details through the NSW Pet Registry.

The microchip is inserted under the skin between the shoulder blades. We use a local anaesthetic gel to help numb the skin prior to inserting the microchip needle.
