Our multimodal approach effectively reduces pain, restores mobility, and improves overall fitness—helping your pet live a happier, more comfortable life.

What is Included in the Initial Rehabilitation Appointment?

Our comprehensive initial rehabilitation appointment lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours. During this time, we conduct a thorough assessment of your pet’s mobility and pain levels and provide the first treatment. The appointment includes:

  • History review: We assess your pet’s lifestyle, fitness goals, nutrition, and any health issues affecting mobility.
  • Pain scoring: A detailed evaluation of your pet’s pain levels.
  • Musculoskeletal evaluation: We assess muscle flexibility, joint range of motion, and joint health.
  • Neurological evaluation: Testing reflexes, balance, muscle tone, and identifying any neurological issues.
  • Myofascial examination: Checking for scar tissue, trigger points, muscle symmetry, and soft tissue pain.
  • Functional assessment: Analyzing gait, posture, daily activities, and strength levels.
  • Measurements (if needed): Evaluating range of motion, muscle girth, body weight, and pain scores.

After the assessment, we discuss the findings and may recommend further diagnostic tests (e.g., radiographs). We will also explain the treatment plan, expected recovery timeline, and costs involved.

Initial Treatment

Your pet’s first rehabilitation treatment will include:

  • Manual therapies, such as soft tissue mobilisation, trigger point release, stretching, and joint mobilisation.
  • Physical modalities, such as PEMF, laser therapy, NMES, and TENS.
  • Therapeutic exercises: Using our rehab gym, we’ll demonstrate exercises you can continue at home.
  • Nutritional and supplement recommendations tailored to your pet’s rehabilitation and overall health.

Ongoing Care and Support

Rehabilitation is a continuous process. We offer follow-up appointments to monitor your pet’s progress and adjust their plan as needed. Our goal is to ensure long-term success, helping your pet recover and maintain their mobility and quality of life.
